Selection Principle of Scraper Chain I



Selection of scraper chain is mainly for the rational use of its structural type, chain pitch, blade pitch, material quality, etc. In addition, it not only should meet the requirements of production capacity, but also pay attention to adaptability of scraper chain to materials. 

1. Select the type of scraper 

Scraper type often determines conveying effect of buried scraper conveyor. If users choose proper scraper, then satisfied conveying effect can be got. Otherwise, it maybe cause bad conveying effect or even cannot transport materials. 

Selection principle of scraper type is to choose structure as simple as possible under the condition of adaptability of scraper chain to materials. If involved specific selection, it can select machine type according to properties of the material viscosity, suspension and liquidity, machine groove width, conveyor layout. 

1.1 With regard to materials with good performance, it should give priority to adopt simple scraper type, such as T-type, V-type, and U-type. If the materials has lower internal friction, strong suspended ability, large mobility, it should select complex scraper type, such as H-type. 

1.2 If the materials with larger sticky, it should adopt simple type, such as T-type, V-type, and U-type in order to reduce material adhesion on scraper. 

1.3 If the groove width is small, it’s better to adopt simple type. When conveying materials with large stacking density in a larger closed trough, it can adopt O-type guillotine plate with a inclined strut in order to increase the rigidity of scraper.
